Summer Showers (Renu Gidoomal) - I've known of this very spiritual, very energetic and charismatic lady for a long time. I met her after many years and started working together. Renu is one powerful person on stage and very passionate about what she does. She had some songs she wanted to record and this was the result.

Shama (Composed, Arranged & Produced by dR) - A very dear friend of mine had a wish of having her own album. Being a very popular singer in the U. K. it was a good idea and so we set about doing just that. What she requested was to have a "Bollywood" sound but recorded in London. I achieved that even with the constraint of the budget..more....

Schizophonic (Geri Haliwell) - The company responsible for assigning artists asked Shama if she could sing a little section in one of the songs. Shama always felt confident with her husband for moral support and me as a leading musician. We all turned up at the studio. Shama introduced me to the producers after which they asked me my opinion about the "Indian Section" they had composed, and I did after which they asked to rectify, and I did. I had the pleasure to put my ideas and also perform using an Electrical Star.

Jai Jai Shrinathji (Various renowned artists of India) - I was in India at the house of the composer Ashit Desai. Over a cup of 'cha' he asked me for an opinion on where he should mix this album. Guess what I said. Well, he flew down to London just for 3 days and yours truly did the necessary. Next, I got a call from his wife Hemaji (fabulous, fabulous singer) and commended me for my work and said to me "Dhiren you've done fantastic work and most of all, no one else has ever been able to mix and produce my voice quality as you have. " Well, I thought, what am I supposed to say to that but just "Thank you Hemaji".

Bandit Queen (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) - One day, sitting in my studio, I got a call from a record company asking me to mix a recording for a CD production. A Film sound track arrived with the name "Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan." WOW, It was a real pleasure and experience to be in the company of such talent. Following my mix, he asked me to mix 4 other albums. I must have impressed him too. I guess!

Yuhin Jiyaa Karte The (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) - A record company from Pakistan asked me to compose new arrangements for these rare and unreleased Ghazals. My arrangements are in different styles.

A Tribute to The Master (Saira Naseem) - Saira Naseem is a very popular playback singer in the film industry in Pakistan. The same record company asked me to produce ones of Ustad Nusrat Fateh with Saira singing them. She's a very dynamic singer.

Kiran Ahluwalia (Kashish) -   She is a performer of vocal music. More precisely she is a performer of two distinct styles of vocal music from the Indian subcontinent, now India and Pakistan. Kiran sings ghazals and Punjabi folk songs.more..

Sangeeta (Arranged & Engineered by dR) - Well here's another renowned singer known in the U.K. for her singing of hindi songs with a Bhangra edge to it. Now she wanted a different kind of an album. Her record company commissioned me to carry out this work. Her producer and a very dear friend of mine Kulji composed the melodies and I arranged it. She told me in her own words saying "Dhiren, this is my best album and my favourite." That was very touching. Thanks Sangeeta.

Guitar Festivals - The B.B.C. held a guitar festival with participants coming from all over the U.K. I was really privileged to be a part of this festival since I was the only Indian guitarist chosen for this event.

Madhurasha- Held at the "Royal Albert Hall" back in 1997 on the 8th March. This entire show was written and conceived by students more..

Talvin - He is a very talented musician Ive known for a long time. Here's an album that made big news and I'm glad to be a part of the tittle track. "OK"

Yasser - Here's the album I talked about earlier. Track 2 has some contribution of mine and Track 10 is one I was responsible of the entire music.

Bina Mistry - Yep, she is a mistry but a very lovely mistry at that. I've known Bina for a good many years. Here's a person so close to my heart. Both Prakash (her other half) and "B" (is what I call her) have been so supportive and encouraging throughout my musical career in London. Being my "Rakhi" sister I couldn't accept anything less.
These collection of "Garba" & "Raas" are traditional folk songs from Gujarat and almost always performed during a 9 days Hindu festival. Bina always wanted to record these in a medley form intertwined with some really "kicking" dance beats and ideas- I guess we achieved it. Why don't you sample the taste?

Mera Salam - an idea by the singer Nazir Moosa, living in the U.K and a big fan of "Mukesh", was conceived for a charitable cause for people who suffer from diabetes. Here's what Nazia had to say-
The songs in this cassette were a selected few from a huge repertoire of songs sung over the years by Mukesh in the Bollywood Film Industry. My trusted friends Kiran came with the project and suggested we join hands to re-produce these songs with the original score but also add a little bit of our own experiences to modernize the music, so here its is- NICE ONE NAZIR!

Nasheenas - a very renowned Singer/composer coming from Afghani and Palestine music world. I met this gentle person when I was invited to perform with him at a prestigious venue in the heart of West End in London. He had a wish to revive the old Afghani and "Pushte" songs and poetry since most of it was now destroyed in the relative countries and living in the U.K he could easily to do that. We met over tea and discussed a project of 10 albums of which 4 have now been recorded and 2 of those released. He particularly wanted a different approach to the entire project. My very dear friend and musician Neel Gandhi played Tabla on all the recordings. This is what I came up with- "even though I do not understand the poetry or the language." more

Shukriyada (Thank you) - This work took birth some 13 years ago. My first solo debut album, a collection of spiritual songs (bhajans) in dedication to SRI SATYA SAI BABA and Varsha Chauhan. My love of life and my inspiration Varsha was responsible for lighting up the spiritual fire which got me to compose, arrange, write the lyrics and sing the bhajans. The title bhajan Shukriyada came from a description of the place called Puttaparth where Sri Sai Baba resides. The picture, as Varsha described, was painted in my mind with gold sands in the entire tranquil area of his ashram where every morning at around 4 am a student of his would sit and play his Bansuri (a bamboo flute) as the sun was rising. I have tired to create that picture in a musical form for all those who have not had the opportunity to visit the place. This album was produced with a charitable thought where all the proceeds would go towards providing blankets for people who slept out on pavements and wherever else needed.

Tera Naam Ek Sahara - This album is a follow up of the Shukriyada but with a totally different approach. The bhajans in this album are a collection of the most popular bhajnas sung by Sai devotees all over the world. What I have done is to produce this with a modern and I guess a "Wacky" fusion approach so there was a chance the younger generation would listen to them and maybe feel the spiritual vibe and enjoy the music.

Watch this space there's lots more to come!
